Concept of deforestation

Deforestation is people cutting down whole forests of trees, and making it even less likely for humans to survive. Trees supply oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide, and hold down the soil from washing away or making landslides.
Trees are one of the gift of nature and most of the people understand it's importance but also they cut down the trees, knowing its consequences. Cultivation, furniture, energy, etc are some of the areas for which people cut trees. Since usage of trees is a must for the human, people should try to reduce deforestation.
Deforestation is done in large areas, a large percent of forest area in the world. It affects people and their lives but still they keep on destroying forest. It is necessary to clearly understand the concept of deforestation so as to save the nature from being destructed.
It is not possible to stop the deforestation completely but we can reduce it. For that we should spread awareness among people and carry out programmes regarding afforestation.
